The EU Ecolabel is the only official ecological label recognized across all EU member states. In France, fewer than 3% of tourist accommodations are certified. It is based on 67 technical criteria and provides harmonized European standards for energy efficiency, water consumption, waste management, eco-labeled products and guest awareness.
Green Globe is widely recognized in the global tourism and hospitality sector, present in around 100 countries. It evaluates 44 criteria covering water and energy management, biodiversity protection, waste reduction, responsible procurement and pollution control.
