The Chartres conurbation lies on the Paris-Le Mans route via the A11 motorway (exits 2, Chartres-Est, and 3, Chartres-Centre). Chartres is approximately 1 hour from Paris (90 km), 1 hour 30 minutes from Le Mans and less than 3 hours from Tours or Rennes. Thanks to its central location, Chartres is an ideal meeting point for organising a business event, whether you’re coming from Paris, the Centre-Val de Loire region or elsewhere.

Just off the N10 and D910, the city is easily accessible for a seminar, team meeting or corporate function.

By train

Chartres SNCF station, just 5 minutes from the city centre, offers direct links to Paris-Montparnasse (around 1 hour 10 minutes) and connections to Versailles, Rambouillet, Le Mans and the whole of the Centre-Val de Loire region.

Regular trains make it easy to reach event venues, hotels and seminar rooms, while limiting the carbon footprint. This practical, sustainable access is ideal for sports groups or travellers from the Île-de-France, Centre or Brittany regions.

By plane

Chartres can be accessed from several international airports:

Paris-Orly (78 km away, approx. 1 hour).

Paris-Charles de Gaulle (110 km away – approx. 1 hour 30 minutes).

Depending on your personal or professional requirements, you can choose between car hire and private transfers from the airports.

Public transport

The Filibus bus network (filibus.fr) covers the entire Chartres metropolitan area, including the SNCF station, the city centre, the Chartrexpo exhibition centre, the business parks, and the partner hotels of the Atypiic network.

Regular services make it easy to get around during events. You can also hire a self-service bicycle or use the park-and-ride facilities, or hire a two-wheeler from the Maison du Vélo, which is located near the station (5 km away). All of these options make Chartres, which is close to Paris, an ideal location for seminars, leisure groups and business events.
